Active Ingredient Content: ≥95.0% (by HPLC or GC)
Paclobutrazol 95% TC is a triazole-based plant growth regulator widely used in agriculture, horticulture, and forestry. It acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of gibberellins, plant hormones responsible for stem elongation, thus controlling vegetative growth. This results in shorter, more compact plants with improved stress tolerance, better root development, enhanced flowering, and increased fruit set.
This highly pure technical concentrate is the raw material for manufacturing various formulations such as wettable powders, soluble concentrates, and granules.
Appearance: Off-white to light brown crystalline powder
Odor: Mild characteristic odor
Melting Point: 105–110°C
Solubility:
Slightly soluble in water (<1 mg/L at 20°C)
Soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, acetone, and dichloromethane
Density: Approximately 1.2 g/cm³
Stability: Stable under recommended storage conditions; sensitive to prolonged exposure to moisture and light

Paclobutrazol inhibits the enzyme ent-kaurene oxidase, a key enzyme in the gibberellin biosynthesis pathway. By blocking gibberellin production, it suppresses stem elongation and promotes a compact plant habit. This modulation also enhances root growth, increases stress tolerance (drought, salinity), and improves flowering and fruit quality.
Agriculture: Controls excessive vegetative growth in cereals, fruits, vegetables, and ornamental crops. Improves yield and quality by promoting flowering and fruit set.
Horticulture: Used for growth regulation in ornamentals, turf, and nursery plants for compact and uniform growth.
Forestry: Enhances root development and controls seedling height for better transplanting success.
Formulations: Used as a raw material to produce wettable powders (WP), soluble concentrates (SL), and granules (GR).
Oral LD₅₀ (rat): >2000 mg/kg (low toxicity)
