Esbiothrin 95% TC is a high-purity synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that belongs to the family of chrysanthemates. It is widely used as an active ingredient in mosquito coils, mats, aerosols, vaporizers, and other household insecticide products. Esbiothrin offers a rapid knockdown effect against flying insects, especially mosquitoes and houseflies, while also providing some residual repellency.
As a vapor-active insecticide, Esbiothrin is particularly effective in space treatments and domestic pest control due to its high volatility, fast action, and low toxicity to mammals when used correctly. It is a racemic mixture containing both cis and trans isomers, often in a typical ratio of approximately 1:3.

Flash Point: >100°C (closed cup)
Solubility: Practically insoluble in water; soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, ethanol, kerosene, xylene
Stability: Stable under normal storage conditions; sensitive to strong acids, bases, and prolonged UV exposure
Esbiothrin Content (by GC): ≥95.0%
Moisture Content: ≤0.3%
Acidity (as HCl): ≤0.2%
Cis:Trans Isomer Ratio: Approximately 1:3 (may vary slightly by batch)
Appearance: Clear, uniform liquid; free from visible impurities
Color (APHA): ≤100
Insoluble in Acetone: ≤0.5%
Esbiothrin 95% TC is used as a base material for formulating:
Mosquito coils
Vaporizer mats and liquids
Aerosol sprays for home use
Insecticidal incense and repellent products
Target Pests:
Mosquitoes (Aedes, Culex, Anopheles)
Houseflies, gnats, and other flying insects
Moths and small crawling insects (in high doses)
Due to its fast knockdown and mild repellent properties, it is ideal for household, hotel, hospital, and indoor use environments.
Esbiothrin acts on the voltage-gated sodium channels in the insect nervous system. By prolonging the open state of these channels, it causes hyperexcitation, loss of motor coordination, paralysis, and ultimately death. It is effective at low concentrations and volatilizes well under gentle heating, making it suitable for vapor-phase delivery systems.
